Decline in Crop Prices

Crop prices at the Gedaref crop market have seen a noticeable decline.

The price of a quintal of processed sesame was recorded at 145,000 Sudanese pounds in cash, and 150,000 pounds through bank transfers (Bankak or O-Cash).

The price of a sack (ardeb) of sorghum (Feterita) was 125,000 pounds in cash and 135,000 pounds via bank transfers.

An ardeb of Dabar sorghum was priced at 180,000 pounds in cash and 230,000 pounds via Bankak.

The price of an ardeb of red millet reached 155,000 pounds in cash and 160,000 pounds through Bankak and O-Cash. Meanwhile, a ton of groundnuts was priced at 1.9 million pounds in cash and 2.1 million pounds via Bankak and O-Cash.
