Commencement of Installation of a Water Pipeline Factory in Gedaref
Al-Siraf Al-Khandaqawi Group has begun technical arrangements to relocate the “Khortoum Al-Feel” water pipe manufacturing plant to Gedaref State to meet the state’s demand for pipes as part of the comprehensive water solution project for Gedaref.
Haitham Mohamed, Marketing and Sales Director at Al-Siraf Al-Khandaqawi Company, announced the delivery of the first batch of water transmission lines to central Gedaref villages and several remaining neighborhoods of Gedaref Municipality, at a cost of 4 trillion Sudanese pounds. The funding was provided by the Federal Ministry of Finance and represents 30% of the total pipeline project.
On her part, Asmaa Abdel Qader, Executive Director of the Gedaref Water Solution Project, explained that the transmission lines received on Saturday include pipes of 10, 8, and 6 inches in diameter. These pipes are intended to deliver water to central Gedaref villages through four main routes. She noted that the community is participating in the project by handing over the transmission lines to village representatives, who will be responsible for protecting them during the implementation phase.
