Bournemouth’s Scott to Undergo Surgery After Jaw Fracture

Bournemouth announced on Sunday that midfielder Alex Scott will undergo surgery after suffering a fractured jaw during the team’s Premier League match against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Scott, 21, sustained the injury seven minutes into the match — held at Bournemouth’s home ground and ending in a 1-0 loss — following a collision with Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings. Despite the injury, Scott completed the first half but was unable to continue after halftime.
In a statement, Bournemouth said: “Scans later revealed a fracture that caused bone displacement. Scott will undergo surgery to stabilize the jaw.”
The English midfielder had already missed over three months earlier this season due to a knee injury in October that also required surgery.
