Formation of Technical Committee to Assess Factory Needs

Acting Minister of Industry, Mahasin Ali Yaqoub, issued a decision to form a specialized technical committee to determine the needs of factories affected by the aggression of the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia.
The minister stated that factories suffered significant damage to transformers, electric cables, and infrastructure. This was highlighted in the report of the technical committee that visited the states of Khartoum and Al Jazirah to assess the extent of destruction in industrial areas during the war and to identify urgent needs to bring these factories back into production.
The committee concluded in its report that all factories had been subjected to theft of cables, transformers, and electrical equipment.
The committee includes representatives from all relevant entities, including the Ministries of Finance and Investment, the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization, the Central Bank of Sudan, Sudan Electricity Company, and the Customs Authority.
Its role is to identify the specific needs of affected factories based on their activities and determine the technical specifications necessary for their operation.
The Minister of Industry instructed the committee to develop all necessary solutions and facilitation measures to help factories obtain their required resources.
