Northern State Governor Reviews Agricultural Challenges in Al-Selim Area

The Governor of Northern State, Major General (Ret.) Abdul Rahman Abdul Hamid, reviewed the challenges and issues facing the Al-Selim area east of the Nile during a meeting in his office today with a popular delegation from the region.

Mohamed Othman Al-Dhaw, a member of the delegation, stated to SUNA that the meeting addressed several important issues, including security threats and the ongoing preparations for the summer agricultural season.

He pointed out that agricultural activity in the area is suffering due to power outages, which necessitates expanding the use of alternative energy sources.

Al-Dhaw added that the meeting also discussed the long-awaited power substation, in addition to the urgent need to clear the Al-Selim canal and construct permanent bridges to serve the residents and facilitate transportation.
