
On Wednesday, five people were injured with varying degrees of wounds, including two Chadian soldiers, following the explosion of a hand grenade (“Karnet”) in the Idri camp for Sudanese refugees in eastern Chad.
Sources told Darfur24 that a person accused of theft detonated the hand grenade while being pursued by security forces attempting to arrest him.
The sources indicated that the incident resulted in injuries to three Sudanese refugees and two security personnel, with varying degrees of severity. The injured were transported to a hospital in Idri city for treatment.
