Measures to Address Power Outage Effects in Khartoum

The Khartoum State Security Coordination Committee, chaired by Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza, directed that sufficient measures be taken to address the consequences of power outages in the state caused by militia attacks on main transformer stations. Measures include securing fuel for the Al-Manara water station and wells, ensuring fuel supply for hospitals to prevent surgical operations from stopping, and monitoring the provision of gas and water for bakeries.

The meeting also instructed the electricity department to double efforts to rehabilitate the stations and activate emergency rooms to work around the clock on solutions.

In another context, the meeting decided to empower the Land Protection and Violations Removal Authority to fully carry out its duties across the state by removing random encroachments, public road violations, and construction infringements.

The meeting heard a report on the security situation, which noted a significant drop in crime thanks to the activation of joint patrols and the widespread presence of security forces.

The meeting praised the performance of the security cell, which has achieved extensive deployment across the state and succeeded in seizing many illegal items.
