White Nile Governor: Success of the Summer Agricultural Season is a Strategic Goal

The Governor of White Nile State, Major General (Retired) Qamar Al-Din Mohamed Fadl Al-Mola, chaired the first meeting of the Higher Committee for the Success of the 2025–2026 Summer Agricultural Season, held at the Government Secretariat Hall in Rabak.
The governor emphasized that the success of the agricultural season is one of the state’s top strategic objectives, describing it as a battle for the nation’s dignity, which requires joint official and popular efforts to ensure its success.
For her part, the Acting Minister of Economic Resources in White Nile State, Wesal Al-Sheikh Farah, said the meeting reviewed the targeted land area for this agricultural season, which amounts to 3,345,000 feddans and has been approved.
She added that the meeting discussed the necessary inputs for the season, such as diesel and seeds, and how to secure them, along with interventions made by organizations operating in the state. She noted that it was confirmed that the required quantities would be provided in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, the Public Transport and Petroleum Administration, and also emphasized crop protection by the Security Committee and the leadership of the 18th Infantry Division. The meeting also affirmed the financing policy for the season and addressed farmers’ debts in coordination with the Bank of Sudan and the Agricultural Bank, aiming to immediately begin preparations for the season.
