Gedaref Government Praises Localization of Agricultural Machinery Spare Parts Industry in the State

The government of Gedaref State praised the significant developments witnessed in the industrial sector, particularly in heavy industries, led by iron foundries that have contributed to achieving self-sufficiency in spare parts in local markets.

Eng. Ahmed Mohamed Tah El-Kenan, Director of “Al-Intilaga” Foundry, affirmed during a visit by a delegation from the state government to the factory that the support and incentives continuously provided by the Gedaref government to investors have helped attract more industrial projects to the state.

El-Kenan noted that “Al-Intilaga” Foundry manufactures all spare parts for agricultural machinery, including tractors, disc plows, and harvesters, in addition to parts for oil presses, mills, and mixers, all produced according to the highest standards of quality and durability.

He called on both the federal and state governments to halt the export of raw iron, emphasizing the availability of local factories capable of processing it. He also stressed the need to support the industrial sector through the provision of electricity and water to ensure continued and improved production.
