Minerals Undersecretary: Committed to Transparency

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Minerals, Dr. Hind Al-Siddiq, affirmed the principle of transparency and commitment to it.
During her first meeting with department directors at the ministry and the General Authority for Geological Research, she stated that she would work to support, strengthen, and develop the mining sector through the optimal utilization of minerals, guided by a strategic vision based on sustainability, environmental protection, public health, and the support of the national economy.
During the handover of geological and chemical maps to the Director-General of the General Authority for Geological Research—maps received from the Russian company “Rosgeo”—she revealed that the Russian documents contain a robust database capable of recovering all geological reports and documents lost during the war.
Dr. Hind also mentioned there is a plan in place to recover and securely preserve this data. Meanwhile, Geologist Consultant Ahmed Haroun, the Director-General of the General Authority, gave a detailed presentation on the work of the ministry’s and authority’s emergency committee during the war period.
