Maresca Surprised by Mudryk’s Presence in Poland Ahead of Final

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca was as surprised as everyone else when he was informed that Mykhailo Mudryk had been spotted in Poland ahead of the UEFA Europa Conference League final against Real Betis.

Mudryk, who became Chelsea’s most expensive signing in 2023 with a $108 million transfer fee, has not played since December when it was revealed he was under investigation for a doping-related issue.

Until now, the Ukrainian player had disappeared from public view. However, photos and videos emerged on social media yesterday (Tuesday) showing him taking pictures with fans while wearing a Chelsea-branded jacket.

When asked about Mudryk’s presence in Wrocław during the pre-match press conference, Maresca responded with surprise: “Honestly, I don’t know. Is he here? Or is he coming?”
