Rise in Sacrificial Sheep Prices in Shendi

Prices of sacrificial sheep in Shendi locality, Nile River State, have seen a significant increase compared to last year, while other states have reported price stability.
In Shendi, prices ranged from 400,000 to 700,000 Sudanese pounds.
Citizens expressed frustration over the rising prices, saying they may be unable to afford a sacrifice this year.
Traders attributed the increase to higher costs of feed and transportation, in addition to the challenging economic conditions in the country.
They also reported weak demand but expected purchasing activity to rise on Wednesday and Thursday.
