Prime Minister: Healthcare Is a National Urgent Priority

The Transitional Prime Minister, Dr. Kamal Idris, affirmed that the government will place healthcare and medical services among the list of urgent national priorities, expressing his commitment to ensuring citizens have consistent and quality access to treatment.

Idris inspected the ongoing delivery of medical and healthcare services at Prince Osman Digna Hospital in Port Sudan, accompanied by Red Sea State Governor, Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour. He praised the level of service provided at the hospital during the Eid holiday period.

The Director General of Prince Osman Digna Hospital, Mohamed Kamal Ahmed, stated in a press release that the Prime Minister visited all departments of the hospital and was assured of the smooth provision of medical services. He noted that Idris commended the dedication of hospital staff during the holiday.

He added that Kamal Idris’s visit serves as a major morale boost for all healthcare workers and is a clear confirmation from the Prime Minister’s office that medical services are a key priority for the incoming government.
