The Prime Ministers of Egypt and Sudan held a phone call during which the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, conveyed his greetings and congratulations to his Sudanese counterpart, Dr. Kamal Idris, on assuming the role of Prime Minister of Sudan at this critical juncture in the country’s history.
The call included a review of the historical and strong cooperation between the two countries and their peoples, as well as discussions on several regional and international issues of mutual concern and coordination of positions regarding them.
Dr. Kamil Idris expressed his deep appreciation to the Arab Republic of Egypt—its leadership, government, and people—for their continued support for Sudan throughout its history, particularly during the war period.
The discussion also touched on the matter of Sudanese students sitting for the Sudanese and Egyptian secondary school certificate exams in their second home, Egypt, and the care and attention they receive.
