Eyewitnesses and consistent sources from Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State, revealed the arrival of prisoners captured during the battles of Al-Khuwai and Al-Debeibat in Kordofan to Nyala in South Darfur.
Witnesses told Darfur24 that last Saturday, the second day of Eid al-Adha, they saw five combat vehicles and one transport truck (“Dafaar”) entering the city from the south via Rahid Al-Bardi. Each vehicle was carrying around seven individuals dressed in military uniforms resembling those of the Sudanese army.
The witnesses added: “The individuals had white cloth pieces tied over their faces.”
Additionally, three consistent sources — one of them affiliated with the RSF — confirmed to Darfur24 that at least 35 prisoners from the battles of Al-Khuwai and Al-Debeibat, consisting of army and joint force personnel, had arrived in Nyala.
The sources stated that the prisoners were transferred to a prison in the Dagrees suburb west of Nyala city, and among them were officers, though their names and conditions inside the prison were not disclosed.
