Dr. Salma Abdel Jabbar Al-Mubarak, member of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council, praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its supportive stance toward Sudan and its people, through the provision of humanitarian aid and essential needs, as well as its steadfast position on issues related to peace and security in Sudan.
During her meeting on Wednesday in her office in Port Sudan with the Saudi Ambassador to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jafar, Salma conveyed her greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. She affirmed the depth and strength of bilateral relations between the two countries and emphasized the importance of working to enhance and expand them.
For his part, the Saudi ambassador congratulated the Sovereign Council member on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and on the confidence placed in her by appointing her as a member of the Transitional Sovereign Council.
He stated that the meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in a manner that serves the interests of both brotherly peoples.
