Iran Responds by Launching Hundreds of Missiles Toward Israel

Iran’s news agency reported the start of what it called a “crushing Iranian response,” with the launch of hundreds of ballistic missiles toward Israel in retaliation for the Israeli army’s operation dubbed “Rising Lion” on Iranian territory.

Israeli media reported a fire near the Ministry of Defense headquarters in Tel Aviv, noting that rockets had struck seven areas in central Israel.

According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, 17 Israelis were injured as a result of the Iranian missile strikes.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency claimed that an Israeli fighter jet pilot had been captured during an operation targeting the aircraft. However, an Israeli army spokesperson denied that a fighter jet had been downed or that the pilot had been captured.

Earlier, the Israeli army stated that dozens of fighter jets carried out an initial strike deep inside Iran. Iranian media confirmed the deaths of nuclear scientists and military leaders, including the Commander of the Revolutionary Guard, Hossein Salami, and the Chief of Staff, Mohammad Bagheri.
