Rise in Crop Prices

Crop prices at the Gedaref Exchange have witnessed an increase.
The price of a quintal of sesame ranged between 160,000 and 170,000 Sudanese pounds. The price of an ardeb (sack) of “Akar” sorghum ranged between 175,000 and 180,000 pounds. An ardeb of millet was priced at 225,000 pounds, while the price of a sack of lentils rose to between 260,000 and 290,000 pounds.
The price of chickpeas reached 270,000 pounds, while peanuts were priced between 55,000 and 60,000 pounds. A ton of watermelon seeds was priced at 2,200 pounds.
