White Nile Governor Calls for Activation of Electronic Banking Services

The Governor of White Nile State, Lieutenant General Kamar Al-Din Mohamed Fadl Al-Mawla, reaffirmed his government’s commitment to implementing the national directives regarding the activation of electronic banking services in Sudan, and utilizing the capabilities of banks and financial institutions to drive economic development in the state.

This came during a joint meeting with a delegation from Omdurman National Bank, Rabak branch, led by the branch manager, Ezzeldin Ali, and in the presence of Fatima Al-Haj Al-Tayeb, the State Minister of Finance, Economy, and Manpower.

The meeting discussed a future vision for benefiting from the banking sector to support development and investment of all kinds across all localities of the state.

According to the Sudan News Agency, the Minister of Finance, Economy, and Manpower in White Nile State stated that the governor’s meeting with the delegation from Omdurman National Bank aimed to make use of the banking services provided by the bank in all financial transactions and transfers for government institutions and units.

The minister announced that all technical and administrative arrangements had been completed to open bank accounts for civil servants in the state at Omdurman National Bank. This is to address issues related to salary transfers via the “O-Cash” application, aiming to provide a sustainable service that enables workers to receive their salaries without difficulties. She also emphasized utilizing the bank’s capabilities in investment, particularly in financing infrastructure projects, and noted agreements made with the bank to stimulate investment in all sectors. She affirmed her ministry’s commitment to presenting development projects through Omdurman National Bank that would benefit the people of the state.
