WHO: Over 40 Killed, Including Children, in Hospital Attack in Sudan

The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said on Tuesday that more than 40 people, including children and healthcare workers, were killed in an attack on a hospital in Sudan earlier this week.

The attack occurred on Saturday at Al-Mujlad Hospital in West Kordofan State, near the frontlines between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), according to Reuters.

Ghebreyesus called for an end to attacks on healthcare infrastructure, without specifying who was responsible for the incident.
The RSF militia had reportedly shelled Al-Mujlad Hospital in West Kordofan, killing and injuring more than 70 civilians, including children.
