Khartoum Governor Inspects Efforts to Restart Al-Mogran Water Station

On Tuesday, Khartoum Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza visited the headquarters of the Khartoum State Water Authority, which had suffered extensive infrastructure damage, document burning, and looting of vehicles and equipment.
The governor inspected various departments within the authority as part of ongoing efforts by the Khartoum state government to restore essential services after being targeted by rebel militias.
He instructed teams to expedite cleaning operations followed by maintenance and rehabilitation.
The governor’s tour continued to the Al-Mogran station, where he reviewed the ongoing repair work in the electricity and mechanical sectors as well as the rehabilitation of transmission lines. He urged workers to double their efforts to complete the rehabilitation process and quickly restore the station’s services to meet the growing demand for water, especially as large numbers of residents have returned to the areas in Khartoum and Omdurman served by the station.
