Military sources told Sudan Tribune on Wednesday that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in Sudan has received a new batch of weapons delivered through the border triangle linking Sudan, Libya, and Egypt.
The sources confirmed that Libyan groups—whose identities were not disclosed—transported the weapons to the RSF through the border triangle, after which the militia moved them to Darfur.
They explained that the weapons transfer coincided with the recent appearance of militia leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemedti” in an area of Darfur. It is believed that the shipment may have included anti-aircraft weapons, jamming devices, and missiles capable of intercepting drones.
