At least 23 civilians were killed on Wednesday in scattered attacks carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on villages surrounding El-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State.
Mustafa Mahmoud, a displaced person who recently arrived in El-Obeid, told Sudan Tribune that “a force affiliated with the RSF, riding in several combat vehicles and motorcycles, attacked the areas of Lamina and Al-Haqoona, located 40 kilometers south of El-Obeid, firing indiscriminately at civilians, resulting in at least 23 deaths and 14 injuries. The injured were transported to El-Obeid.”
He added that the attacking force looted agricultural crops, homes, satellite communication devices (Starlink), and a large number of motorcycles.
