Military Commander: Northern State is Safe

Colonel Adel Ali Hassan, Head of Intelligence for the 19th Infantry Division in Merowe, confirmed that the security situation is calm across the division’s entire area of responsibility.
He urged the citizens of the state not to heed or be misled by rumors and disinformation being spread by the terrorist militia’s propaganda networks and their collaborators, aimed at destabilizing security and stability.

Speaking at the launch event of an anti-drug campaign organized by the Merowe Charity Organization at the main bus terminal in Merowe on Thursday—on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse—Colonel Adel said:
“Northern State will remain safe, by the grace of God and thanks to the unity and support of its people, who stand as one behind the armed forces, supporting forces, and the popular resistance, embodying the slogan: ‘One Army, One People.’”

He also highlighted the importance of cooperation and joint coordination to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs and to promptly report all negative and threatening phenomena to community security.
