Launch of Online University Admission Applications

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of the online application process for admission to institutions of higher education for the 2023–2024 academic year. The process began on Saturday and will continue until the evening of Sunday, July 6.

The application covers all programs at public, private, and community higher education institutions, and is available exclusively to students holding the Sudanese Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent for the year 2023.

The Ministry urged students and their parents to review the 2023 Admission Guide for public and private higher education institutions and to familiarize themselves with the application procedures via the official website of the General Directorate of Admission, Evaluation, and Certification Documentation.

The Directorate clarified that application fees must be paid through the Ministry of Finance’s “Eesaly” system, using the student’s examination number to verify and match their data with the secondary school certificate.

The application fee for Sudanese students residing within Sudan is set at 10,000 SDG (for holders of the Sudanese certificate or its equivalent), while Sudanese students residing abroad with non-Sudanese certificates must pay a fee of 100 USD.

The General Directorate of Information Technology and Networks emphasized the importance of obtaining a billing reference number (invoice) through the application website, which is then used to make payments via approved Ministry of Finance channels using the “Eesaly” platform to access the application system with the form number.

The General Directorate of Admission also noted that Sudanese students holding Arab or foreign certificates for the year 2023 must, after completing the online application, submit a printed copy of the electronic form and the original, certified secondary school certificate to one of the admission offices located in Port Sudan, Omdurman, or to the government university centers in the various states.

This step is necessary for verification and to issue a unified examination number, with a clear warning that failure to comply with this requirement will result in the student forfeiting their right to compete for admission.

The Ministry confirmed that students can apply from home via the internet, and in cases where this is not possible, they may visit the nearest electronic application center available at universities in all Sudanese states. These include government universities, and private, community, and foreign educational institutions.

These centers provide technical support and guidance to ensure a smooth and successful application process for students and their families.
