Khartoum Governor Inaugurates Real Estate Bank Branch in Sabreen Market

The Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Othman Hamza, inaugurated on Tuesday morning a new branch of the Real Estate Commercial Bank in Sabreen Market, located in Karari Locality. This step is part of the state government’s efforts to strengthen banking services and expand financial transactions, contributing to the support of commercial and economic activities and normalization of life in war-affected areas.

The Governor saluted the traders of Sabreen Market for their outstanding national role during the war period, noting their resilience in the face of security challenges and their contribution in providing essential goods to citizens despite the random shelling and battles witnessed in parts of the state. Their efforts helped stabilize living conditions in Karari.

The governor called on the bank’s management to launch initiatives for financing the reconstruction of homes damaged by the war and to offer special financial facilities to affected citizens. He pointed out that the state government is now engaged in a new battle to restore basic services, rehabilitate infrastructure, and create a conducive environment for life to return to normal.

He further explained that the state has witnessed the reopening of 16 branches of various banks in recent months, which reflects the recovery of the banking sector and the gradual return of economic activity. He confirmed that the government is continuing its efforts to support vital facilities and assist citizens in overcoming the impacts of the war.
He emphasized that the opening of the Real Estate Commercial Bank branch in Sabreen Market represents an important addition to the financial and banking infrastructure, helping to facilitate money flow, commercial transactions, and support for microfinance and reconstruction programs in line with the government’s priorities during the recovery phase.
