
The General Directorate for Electronic Admission to Sudanese universities announced that, as of the fourth day of application, more than 30,000 students have applied for admission as part of the deferred 2023 intake.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, received a report from the General Directorate of Information Technology and Networks outlining the progress of the process on its fourth day.
He expressed satisfaction with the smooth and efficient application process through the online platform, praising the efforts of the technical teams and staff to ensure operations run at a high level of performance.
Dahab urged students and parents to carefully review the electronic guide and enter their choices accurately to improve their chances of securing spots in the general admission (first round).
For his part, Dr. Babiker Hussein Ahmed, Director General of the General Directorate of Information Technology and Networks at the ministry, explained that the number of applicants by day four had reached 35% of the target for this phase of admission.
He also noted that the report showed a significant increase in applications from the states of Khartoum, Al Jazirah, and the Red Sea, with expectations that this trend will continue in the coming days.
It is worth mentioning that applications will remain open until the evening of Sunday, July 6.
