Investment Ministry Emphasizes Training and Qualification of Staff

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Investment, Ahlam Madani Mahdi, stressed the need to train and qualify personnel working in the investment sector.
This came during her address at the opening of a training workshop on experience exchange, organized by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment in the River Nile State.
In a press statement, Madani said the workshop is an important step in the right direction toward knowledge transfer and enhancing the capacities of those working in the investment field through training and staff qualification. She added that it is also an opportunity for idea exchange and drawing on accumulated experiences and practices in investment, as well as fostering greater cooperation between the central government and the states.
She affirmed that investment plays a crucial role in development, given Sudan’s abundant resources and the sector’s potential contribution to economic growth. A favorable investment climate and well-qualified personnel are essential tools for attracting investment.
Madani underscored the importance of qualifying and training investment staff to ensure they can fulfill their roles effectively.
She noted that the papers presented during the workshop represented accumulated experience in the investment field, including topics on monitoring, coordination, evaluation, investment prospects and promotion, and free zones. She called for these materials to be fully utilized.
She further explained that the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation is committed to developing qualified investment cadres at the state level to drive the investment process forward in the coming periods and activate all productive sectors for the construction of a strong economy.
Madani announced that similar training sessions will be held across multiple Sudanese states and expressed her satisfaction with the significant efforts made by state authorities to develop the investment sector in all its various fields.
