Minister of Interior Launches Resumption of Work from Ministry Headquarters in Khartoum

On Sunday, Minister of Interior Lt. Gen. Police Babiker Samrah Mustafa officially launched the resumption of operations from the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Khartoum, in the presence of Lt. Gen. Police (Legal) Mohamed Ibrahim Awadallah, Deputy Director General of Police and Inspector General; Lt. Gen. Police Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Shameen, Head of the Administrative Affairs Authority; and Maj. Gen. Police (Legal) Al-Tahir Ali Mohamed Al-Ballulah, Head of the Guidance and Services Authority.

In a statement to the Police Press Office, the Minister of Interior confirmed that resuming administrative work from the ministry’s headquarters and the General Command of the Police Forces in Khartoum reflects the commitment to overseeing all security and police deployment plans in the states and localities—particularly in Khartoum State, the national capital. This includes monitoring the work of police stations, checkpoints, patrols, and ensuring the delivery of essential civil services such as immigration, passports, civil registry, and traffic services.

He added that all necessary preparations to improve the working environment are progressing according to the set plan. He praised the tremendous efforts made to resume operations at the Ministry and the Police Command, noting that ensuring internal security and delivering both criminal and civil police services require direct presence and ongoing supervision, especially to facilitate the return of citizens to their areas.

During his tour of the ministry, the Minister inspected the workflow and ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation operations across various police units, supervised by the General Directorate of Police Engineering Projects.
