Sharp Rise in Foreign Currency Exchange Rates

Foreign exchange rates witnessed a significant and unprecedented surge in the parallel (unofficial) market on Friday, marking the second consecutive day of steep increases. The Sudanese pound recorded a sharp decline against major foreign currencies.

Currency traders reported that the US dollar reached 2,875 Sudanese pounds. The Saudi riyal was recorded at 765.3333 pounds, while the Emirati dirham reached 782.0163 pounds. The euro climbed to 3,337.2093 pounds, and the British pound sterling reached 3,878.3783 pounds.

The Egyptian pound saw a sharp rise, hitting 58.1206 pounds. Meanwhile, the Bahraini dinar stood at 7,552.6315 pounds, the Qatari riyal at 788.46153 pounds, and the Omani riyal at 7,552 pounds.
