Sovereign Council Member: The State Is Proceeding with the Evacuation of Fighters from the Capital

Member of the Sovereign Council and head of the Sudan Liberation Movement – Transitional Council, Salah El-Din Adam Tour “Rasas,” praised the decision by Sovereign Council President General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan to evacuate armed forces from the capital, Khartoum, affirming the state’s commitment to implementing it.

During a meeting with journalists in the administrative capital, Port Sudan, he stated:
“The Sovereign Council, under the leadership of General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, is moving forward with the decision to clear the capital of all military forces. The movements will retain political offices to coordinate with other political forces.”

He emphasized that appointing Dr. Kamal Idris as Prime Minister is a significant step towards democratic transition and the eventual holding of free and fair elections at the end of the transitional period.

Rasas also praised the role of national media in countering the RSF militia’s propaganda and exposing its false narratives to local and regional public opinion.
He added: “The Dagalo militia carried out an African tour after its rebellion, aiming to distort the truth about what is happening in Sudan. However, national journalists played a decisive role in revealing the reality and documenting the grave violations committed by the terrorist militia.”

He noted that the war has unified the country’s societal components with the Armed Forces, the Joint Forces of the movements, and the mobilized elements of the entire security apparatus.

He also called for combating hate speech fueled by parties seeking to fragment Sudanese society, saying:
“The Sudanese people are well aware of these schemes aimed at dividing the country.”
