Director of Mineral Resources: Ready to Resume Operations from Khartoum

The Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mohamed Taher Omar, announced the full readiness of company employees to resume operations from the company’s site at the Minerals Towers in Khartoum State.

He revealed the completion of maintenance and rehabilitation work at the Minerals Towers located in Al-Mujahideen neighborhood on Madani Street, indicating that the building will serve as the headquarters for all company departments, the Ministry of Minerals, and the Geological Research Authority.

On Saturday, the Director General held a joint meeting with the Site Security Committee and technical committees at the meeting hall in the Minerals Towers, where he received detailed reports on the efforts made to prepare a conducive work environment.

Mohamed Taher praised the significant efforts made by the Sudanese Armed Forces, other security agencies, and volunteer fighters in liberating Khartoum State from rebel control. He also praised the company’s own volunteers who took up arms alongside the armed forces and played a major role in securing the Minerals Towers.

He noted that the maintenance and rehabilitation operations took three months to complete and commended the committees that carried out the tasks and prepared the site for operation. He concluded, “We are ready to begin our work from Khartoum State.”
