6 Tons of Gold Exports Inspected and Stamped in Red Sea State

Waleed Mohamed Othman, Director of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) in Red Sea State, revealed that the agency has conducted analysis and inspection of 6.25 tons of gold exports, 930 kilograms of silver, and 303 kilograms of gold bars intended for reprocessing and export. Additionally, the organization inspected 259 kilograms of imported gold jewelry and 102 kilograms of locally produced gold items during the second quarter of this year through the hallmarking unit in Red Sea State.
He affirmed the readiness of his department to handle all technical procedures related to gold exports, utilizing highly qualified personnel and advanced precision equipment. Othman emphasized continued cooperation with all public and private sector companies in the field to ensure smooth export processes while safeguarding both producers and consumers as well as the national economy.
