Sorghum Prices Rise in Gedaref as Sesame Falls

Agricultural commodity markets in Gedaref State on Wednesday witnessed mixed price movements, with sesame prices dropping while sorghum saw a notable increase.
A quintal of sesame fell to between SDG 155,000 and SDG 165,000 compared to SDG 170,000 previously, while the price of a sack (ardeb) of feterita sorghum rose to SDG 180,000–190,000 from SDG 165,000. Millet prices increased to SDG 220,000–240,000 from SDG 215,000, while the price of a ton of groundnuts surpassed SDG 2.75 billion, up from SDG 2.2 billion.
