Talks Held on Turkish Companies’ Return to Sudan’s Mining Sector

The Director-General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mohamed Tahir Omar, received Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, at the company’s headquarters on Monday.
The talks addressed the status of Sudan’s mining sector and the activities of Turkish companies previously operating in the country.
Omar reaffirmed the company’s commitment to creating a conducive investment environment and removing obstacles for Turkish firms in the sector. He praised the strong economic ties between Sudan and Turkey and expressed readiness to provide all necessary support for the return of Turkish investments to mining.
Ambassador Yildiz, in turn, thanked the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company for its efforts to address investors’ challenges and confirmed that Turkish companies are preparing to resume operations in Sudan, particularly amid signs of stability and the ongoing recovery of the mining industry.
