Sudanese Prime Minister Kamel Idris and UN Secretary-General António Guterres held talks on Tuesday regarding the humanitarian crisis in El-Fasher, North Darfur, and the protection of civilians.
According to UN News, Guterres spoke by phone with Idris to discuss humanitarian access amid the ongoing siege and shelling of the city.
The report noted grave abuses by the RSF, including killings, looting, and abductions—particularly of women and children—alongside incursions into Abu Shouk camp north of El-Fasher and the continued obstruction of aid deliveries.
