Colonel Ahmed Hussein Mustafa, spokesperson for the Joint Forces of Armed Movements, reported that the Al-Dagalo militia continues to carry out brutal killings of unarmed civilians in North Darfur, particularly along the road connecting El Fasher and Tawila. He stated that more than 130 bodies remain on the ground, with victims of all ages, including children and women. An additional 30 young men were reportedly executed in one location after being bound.
Colonel Mustafa said that in recent days, dozens of young men and children have gone missing along these routes, and eight women and two girls have been abducted, while over 20 people disappeared from Abu Shouk camp in the past two weeks. He described the killings as ethnically motivated, perpetrated by militia members primarily from Arab tribes against specific African communities.
He condemned the militia’s claims of targeting military areas, emphasizing the systematic nature of ethnic targeting. Colonel Mustafa called on international and regional human rights organizations to urgently intervene, ensure civilian protection, and uncover the fate of the missing. He also decried the ongoing artillery shelling, with daily attacks ranging from 300 to 1,000 shells or drones, targeting residential areas, displacement camps, and health facilities in El Fasher.
