The government of Gedaref State, chaired by Governor Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, on Saturday reviewed emergency interventions undertaken to address the aftermath of flooding from the Rahad River, which inundated several villages in Rahad locality.
The meeting discussed the rainy season emergency plan, as well as programs and projects implemented by organizations operating in the state.
It stressed the need to strengthen coordination mechanisms and follow up on stalled agreements and projects. The meeting also underscored the importance of continuing to monitor seasonal emergencies and implement required interventions.
