On Friday, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied any knowledge of drones reported to have been used by the Rapid Support Forces against the Sudanese army. A ministry spokesperson said, “China has always adopted a prudent and responsible approach to military exports and strictly implements relevant UN Security Council resolutions in accordance with its international obligations.”
Reuters reported that images and data indicated 13 long-range “Delta Wing” drones were observed near an RSF base in Sudan in May, along with 16 launch platforms near Nyala Airport in Darfur, coinciding with drone attacks on Port Sudan targeting its airport, port, military base, and fuel tanks over several days.
