Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that its participation in the joint statement of the international Quad—comprising Egypt, the US, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE—reflects its commitment to ending the war and safeguarding Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity.
Egypt emphasized that the initiative aims to restore security, facilitate the return of displaced persons, and protect national resources, highlighting cooperation with the Arab League and African Union to support the ceasefire and broader transitional process. The ministers agreed to continue coordinating at both ministerial and sub-ministerial levels, including a meeting during the UN General Assembly’s high-level segment in New York in September 2025.
