Dembélé Wins 2025 Ballon d’Or

Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembélé has won the 2025 Ballon d’Or, edging out Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal at a glittering ceremony hosted by France Football on Monday at one of Paris’s historic theaters.

The suspense ended when Brazilian legend Ronaldinho — a former star of Brazil, Barcelona, and PSG — unveiled Dembélé as the winner ahead of Yamal.

The French international winger claimed the prestigious prize, while Yamal was honored with the Kopa Trophy for best young player in the world for the second consecutive year.

France Football also revealed the top 10 in the Ballon d’Or rankings: PSG midfielder Vitinha finished third, followed by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in fourth, and Barcelona’s Raphinha in fifth.

Moroccan full-back Achraf Hakimi (PSG) placed sixth, with Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé seventh, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer eighth, Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma — who moved from PSG — ninth, and PSG left-back Nuno Mendes rounding out the top ten.
