Sudan Agricultural Bank and Turkey’s Ziraat Bank Reach Understandings

A joint meeting between Sudan’s Agricultural Bank and Ziraat Bank’s Sudan branch underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation in various agricultural activities and exchanging expertise to serve the mutual interests of both sides.

Abdullah Al-Hassan Mahmoud, General Manager of Sudan’s Agricultural Bank, said in a press statement during his meeting with Bilgi Can Doğan, General Manager of Ziraat Bank Sudan, at the bank’s headquarters in Port Sudan, that the Agricultural Bank welcomes the step of opening a branch of Ziraat Bank in the city. He noted that the meeting discussed expanding cooperation in ways that benefit both countries in agricultural fields, pointing to fruitful understandings reached in several areas that could pave the way for agreements in the next stage. He also expressed appreciation for Ziraat Bank’s readiness to cooperate in ways that meet the aspirations of farmers in both countries.

For his part, Ziraat Bank Sudan’s General Manager, Bilgi Can Doğan, said the bank’s management is prepared to cooperate extensively with Sudan’s Agricultural Bank across various agricultural sectors. He added that the Agricultural Bank’s visit marks an important step toward broadening the scope of cooperation, noting that consultations between the two sides will continue in the coming period to exchange experiences and expertise in the field of agriculture.
