
Sudan Events – London – Friday
The visiting Sudanese delegation to the United Kingdom held a series of meetings that included the British parliament and decision-making circles in the government, as well as prestigious media institutions and members of the Sudanese community residing there.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Dr. Osama aidros during an expanded meeting at the British Foreign Office on Friday, where the discussion lasted about two hours, addressed the issues of war and peace in Sudan, and ways to reach sustainable political solutions that address the roots of the crisis.
Aidarous stressed that the delegation raised during its meetings the importance of a correct definition of what the ongoing war in Sudan is, and stressed the need for Britain and the international community to engage in supporting an inclusive political process without prejudice to certain groups, and also called on Britain to contribute to supporting the building of national state institutions.
These meetings are part of a continuous round aimed at strengthening the International and media mobilization on the Sudanese issue, and highlighting the need for just and sustainable solutions that end the suffering of the Sudanese people.
