$909 Million in Gold Exports Over Nine Months

The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company has revealed that gold production from January to September reached 53 tons, achieving 115% of the production target, while revenues totaled SDG 699 billion, representing 114% of the projected income. Gold export revenues amounted to $909 million, with SDG 33 billion directed to local community development funds.

During a meeting of the company’s Executive Office on Sunday, Director General Mohamed Tahir highlighted the strong performance and the significant leap in the traditional mining sector, whose revenues exceeded SDG 300 billion, marking a 506% growth compared to previous years — up from SDG 93 billion last year and only SDG 18 billion in 2023, and SDG 1.1 billion in 2022. This, he noted, represents an unprecedented expansion of nearly 300-fold.

The meeting also discussed the company’s digital transformation program and reviewed performance reports for the January–September 2025 period.

Tahir reaffirmed the company’s commitment to implementing digital systems across its headquarters and regional offices, in line with government policies. He instructed departments to devise a comprehensive plan covering all administrative and production areas within set timelines. He further noted that the company’s systems are among the most advanced in Sudan, developed internally by the Planning Department to ensure integration and swift data exchange.
