A seminar in London discusses a national vision for achieving a just peace in Sudan

Sudan Events – London-Monday, October 13, 2025

Sudanese Associations and entities in the United Kingdom held on Sunday evening, October 12, 2025, a major political and intellectual seminar entitled: “A national vision for achieving a just peace in Sudan”, at the Advent Center headquarters in the center of the British capital London, in the presence of a wide audience of members of the Sudanese community and representatives of civil society and the media.

Mr. Khalid al-Tajani, a journalist and political analyst, and Mr. Adel al-Baz, a media and political expert, spoke at the seminar, along with Mr. Ziauddin Bilal, a journalist and political analyst, while the media session was moderated by Nasrin sorki.

In his intervention, Dr. Khaled al-Tijani focused on the need to redefine the war in Sudan as a complete external aggression, stressing that what is happening cannot be reduced to an internal conflict only, but is a reflection of regional and international interventions and pressures seeking to impose its agenda at the expense of Sudan’s sovereignty and unity.

As for Mr. Adel El-Baz, he provided an in-depth analysis of the elements of the current conflict, indicating its military, political and economic dimensions, stressing that the elements that have fueled and fueled the war so far are completely external elements, and that the continuation of these interventions makes a Just Peace a fateful challenge that must be fought consciously and with a clear national strategy.

In the same context, Mr. Bilal stressed that the peace required today is not a formal peace that reproduces militias in the political and military arena, but a just peace that puts a final end to the repeated wars and conflicts in Sudan, and establishes a new stage of stability and State-Building on solid democratic foundations.

The Sudanese community in Britain welcomed the deliberations of the symposium, and stressed that the discussions reflected the aspiration of Sudanese abroad to actively contribute to the peace process, in addition to its role in correcting the misconceptions that reach decision-makers in the United Kingdom regarding the nature of the Sudanese war.

The seminar concluded by stressing the importance of continuing such dialogue meetings that bring together Sudanese at home and abroad, and uniting efforts to push for a just and comprehensive peace, as the only way to save Sudan from its plight and build its state on the foundations of justice and national sovereignty
