Saudi Arabia Urges Immediate Halt to Sudan War

The Saudi Cabinet emphasized the urgent need to immediately stop the war in Sudan, preserve its unity and institutions, and spare the country and its people further suffering and destruction, calling for the full implementation of the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11, 2023.

Saudi Arabia expressed hope that the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, hosted by Egypt to end the Gaza conflict, would contribute to broader efforts to restore security and stability across the Middle East, alleviate the humanitarian plight of the Palestinian people, ensure full Israeli withdrawal, and take practical steps toward a just and comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution, establishing an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
