Prime Minister Dr. Kamel Idris affirmed that education is a top priority for the Al-Amal government, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to providing educational opportunities for all Sudanese children and facilitating the implementation of UNICEF projects in the country.
The remarks came during a meeting in Port Sudan with UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Edward Ted Chaiban, accompanied by UNICEF Sudan Representative Sheldon Yet. Idris highlighted education as a cornerstone for sustainable development and stressed the importance of effective partnership between the government and international organizations.
Chaiban briefed the Prime Minister on UNICEF’s educational initiatives in Sudan and reiterated the organization’s commitment to supporting the Sudanese government in implementing projects to ensure children’s right to education across all states.
