Nile River State Governor Announces Establishment of Industrial City

Nile River State Governor Mohamed Al-Badawi Abdel Majid Abu Qurun has announced the establishment of Al-Ghabsh Industrial City, a project expected to boost development in the state—particularly in the western region of Barbar Locality.
The governor also approved the allocation of additional land to the Moda Factory for the construction of an industrial complex and other related facilities.
The announcement came during his Sunday visit to the factory site in the Al-Ghabsh area, west of Barbar.
Abu Qurun reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to encouraging serious investment, emphasizing that the coming phase will focus on industrial and strategic sectors vital for reconstruction, development, and production.
He praised Moda Group for its adherence to corporate social responsibility programs and its role in supporting the state’s growth and the national economy.
The governor also highlighted the importance of vocational training and industrial education to produce the skilled workforce needed for reconstruction efforts.
He stressed the need to employ local graduates and encourage entrepreneurship in development and service projects, noting that the state is prioritizing technical, industrial, and vocational training centers.
Abu Qurun further announced plans to hold a state-level vocational training forum to develop actionable recommendations that promote and enhance this sector.
