Engineering Ports Company to Support Infrastructure Reconstruction in the Red Sea State

The Red Sea State government has signed a contract with the Engineering Ports Company to pave and asphalt several internal roads, in a ceremony attended by Governor Lt. Gen. Mustafa Mohamed Nour, the Director General of the State Ministry of Finance, and members of the Higher Committee for Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation.
The project aims to improve the internal road network and facilitate transportation and services within Port Sudan and other parts of the state, thereby boosting the local economy and supporting trade and logistics movement.
Anas Younis Idris, Director of the Engineering Ports Company, stated that this initiative is part of the company’s contribution to reconstruction and infrastructure rehabilitation in war-affected states. He affirmed that the company possesses strong national technical expertise in roads, bridges, agricultural, and electrical projects.
He added that all company projects are executed with purely national efforts, by qualified Sudanese professionals, and within a vision that aligns with the government’s efforts in nation-building, development, and economic stability. Idris confirmed that the company will continue implementing strategic projects across various Sudanese states in the coming period.
This project marks a significant step toward reviving developmental and service activities in the Red Sea State and reinforces public-private partnerships in rebuilding and advancing national development.
