
As civilians continue fleeing deteriorating conditions in El Fasher, around 300 people arrived in Tawila, North Darfur, on Thursday, according to field reports.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) renewed its appeal to the RSF to allow safe passage for civilians, amid reports of people trapped around El Fasher, some held for ransom.
MSF medical teams report sharp increases in malnutrition among both children and adults, as living conditions and health services deteriorate in displacement camps.
The organization noted that patients in its facilities have suffered disturbing levels of violence, including gunshot wounds, fractures, beatings, and torture marks, particularly among children under five and pregnant women, severely impacting their mental health.
